Creator of Composite Diamond Coating®
Surface Technology, Inc. is the creator and technical leader of CDC - Composite Diamond Coating®, an exceptionally engineered coating of electroless nickel with fine diamond. CDC is an exceptionally hard and wear resistant coating that conforms to even the most complex geometries and is an excellent replacement for hard chrome plating.
Ni-Grip™ Friction Shims
Surface Technology, Inc is the leading manufacturer of diamond coated friction shims in any shape or size, base metal, roughness level, in large or small quantities. Our Ni-Grip™ friction shims are used in applications ranging from aerospace and automotive to robotics and energy generation.
One-Plate® Electroless Nickel solutions, are the simplest EN in the world. One-Plate® uses just one “Q” solution for both bath make-up and replenishment. This innovation by STI overcomes the many shortcomings of using three A, B, and C components. Available in low, medium, high phosphorous, and composite EN varieties. Naturally, all are RoHS compliant.”
Nanoplate 250 and 251
A COMPOSITE NANO-DIAMOND, ELECTROLESS NICKEL PLATING PROCESS
The 250 system is a version of Composite Diamond Coating® utilizing nanometer sized diamond in an electroless nickel process designed to deposit a uniform composite with ultra-fine diamond particles onto a great variety of metals, alloys, and non-conductors.
The 250 system is supplied in four liquid concentrates: Nano-Plate™ 250 A, 250 B, and 250 D are used for bath make-up and Nano-PlateTM 250 A, 250 T, and 250 D are used for replenishment.
Nano-PlateTM is also available in a lead and cadmium free Nano-PlateTM 251 version to meet a number of environmental regulations.
Some advantages of the 250 system are:
- Deposits with exceptional wear resistance surpassing chrome plating
- Corrosion resistance
- High plating rate
- Excellent stability and bath life
- Ease of use comparable to conventional electroless nickel
he 250 system electroless nickel processes meet or exceed MIL-C-26074D and AMS 2404C.
