Nickel Strippers
Surface Technology, Inc. manufactures a stripping solution for removing electroless nickel.
NiStrip™ 85 is a non-cyanide, alkaline stripper that dissolves high-phosphorus, electroless nickel deposits up to 5 mils thick from steel by immersion. NiStrip™ 85 may also be used to strip electroless nickel deposits from copper and copper alloys, and to strip heat-treated electroless nickel from steel parts or parts that have been used in the field. NiStri™p 85 is not recommended for stripping electroless nickel deposits from assemblies containing manganese, nickel, cobalt, cadmium, zinc, or aluminum.
